FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What motivated you to create ‘The Provident Pilgrim’?

After spending alot of time counseling people on their finances, and trying to convince others of impending economic, social and political danger, I found myself sending numerous emails in an effort to keep people up-to-date as to what is going on.  Additionally I have encountered great difficulty in getting people to take the idea of ‘preparedness’ seriously, particularly in the church with my own being no exception.  The attitude towards this topic is not only illogical, it is unbibilical as well as counter to common sense and our Christian heritage.  I was also looking for a platform for passing along and exposing the wonderful content and wisdom from our Puritan forefathers.

  • What will I find on “The Pilgrim”?

I will post news and current events of economic interest, as well as general articles, commentaries , and other material of an instructional nature.  I am doing this specifically for the purpose of  education and enlightenment, so that my readers can make prudent and wise decisions regarding their families and fortunes.   I also plan to post much of the information regarding ‘Getting Your House in Order’ that was the topic of some of my seminars and a small group study.  I intend to further develop and post a small group bible study, providing a slide deck, leadership notes, a handbook, etc.

  • What will I NOT find on ‘The Provident Pilgrim’?

This blog site is not intended for political discourse, as there are many good sites that do that.   I do, however,  reserve the right to post and discuss any material of an informative nature that has serious implications for Christians, regardless whether it is left-wing, right-wing, middle-wing or no-wing.  I also will post commentary regarding our present time and society, and implications for Christians.  Our foremost priority is to the dispensation of the Gospel, and to making disciples.  We as Christians can and should participate in the political process while we still have the rights and the liberty to do so.  But this is secondary to reaching people for Christ.
